HELLO Families, welcome to March and spring is on the way. Yea!!
 
Just reminder that this Friday is Sleepover night at the studio!! All children must have a permission slip filled out and signed by a Parent.  I have attached them!! All children ages 2nd grade-high school are welcome.  This is a children’s night with games, movies, and fun. Please make sure you child is ready to sleepover before you sign them up.  The cost is $7 and will include pizza, soda, donuts, oj, popcorn and snacks.  Please come in Pj’s and bring sleeping bag, pillow and preferably a mat too!! Drop off is 7pm with Pizza at 8pm and pickup is 8am.  Any questions just email or call me.
 
ANNOUNCING:  I have added and want you to welcome Kristen Funk to the staff of Studios On Main. She is going to be the child care Director.  She has put together an amazing Before & After school care program for the new year.  We will now offer morning care and after school care. Also she will have early dismissal care and school closed care!!! We will have care including conservatory classes and without!! Prices per day are $6 morning, $12 after school $25 full day, $10 per conservatory class taken. She has years of experience working for a local daycare as a director!!  She and I will also be doing a great summer camp here this summer. Cost for the summer is $130 full day, $80 half day or for 3 days a week. NO REGISTRATION FEES for summer camp!! This is not a dance camp!! A new flier is coming and will be sent out next week. 
  
Cheering Class is starting April 17 and has a great big group to start.  I am strongly suggesting that if you signed up your child for this that you first attend the $5 open house on April 10th to make sure this is something that they want to do. This flier and registration form is on the web site.
 
Also i have a new order of t-shirts coming with the logo smaller and including xs child. If you would like one please let me know and i will reserve one for you.
 
REMINDER!!  If you paid your costume deposit the balance WAS DUE Feb. 19th.  Costumes will be coming starting in april and must be paid for to receive them.  If you are not sure please ask at the desk if you owe. Also costumes are not made to order so you may have to take in/up your costumes to fit your child exact. Please count on having to do some alterations to them. I strongly suggest Pennsburg Cleaners the seamstress there has done meticulous work for me including beading!!
 
Drama Class is starting April 7th.  The cost is $40 for April and $40 for May. This is a special class run by Mr. Blair!  He has an extensive backround in acting including professional theatre.  Please sign your child up for this special class!!! I have attached the flier!
 
PICTURES have been scheduled for Saturday May 22nd. There will be no make-up times so please plan on attending so that i may display all the class pictures with all the children in them!!
  
I am also looking to find a vocal teacher. If you are interested in a vocal class or know a VERY GOOD vocal teacher please let me know.
 
OUR FIRST ADULT/TEEN SOCIAL DANCE will be this saturday night.  I have attached the flier for this. Everyone is invited it is a public dance and something that we will be doing once a month at the studio.  come with your friends and have a great inexpensive night dancing on the town.  SEE YOU THERE!!! 
 
Ballroom also started friday night!! It is not to late to still join!!  Learn cha cha, waltz, and swing.
 
So much is going on and starting up, but if you have an idea or a suggestion please leave a note on my desk and i will try to develop it!!  Children need a place to go and be active and safe and i hope Studios on main can be that place.  But also learn about the arts!!

2/25 Newsletter

Hello Families,
 
Can you believe this is the last newsletter for February already!  I just wanted to remind everyone of what is happening in the studio now an in the near future.
 
T-shirts have been ordered and are on their way! I have 5 shirts left if you still want one, let me know.
 
We will be closed for Easter April 2 (friday) until April 5 (monday) and will reopen April 6!
 
Registration for summer camp starts March 1 and ends May 30th. You must register to attend camp!  You can do from 1 day a week to 5 days, also 1/2 day and full days available!  Call for all prices.  NO REGISTRATION FEES!!  Summer cheering camp registration is also available March 1!
 
A new contest is coming for easter……wait and see!!!
 
SLEEPOVER!! We will be having a sleep over for all the kids in grades 2-12!  the cost is $7 for students and includes pizza, snacks, and breakfast. It will be March 12-13 from 7pm until 8am!  Music, games, movies and fun included!!  Bring sleeping bags, pj’s., pillows, and a mat (if have one) to sleep on.  Friends are allowed also for a cost of $10 and you must pre-register to come NO DROP OFF’s ALLOWED! Every parent needs to fill out a permission slip and sign your child in and out!  Cant wait!!
 
New ballroom course is starting March 5th and will include swing in this session! Come join in the fun.
 
We will also be starting a monthly adult/teen social dance with a lesson. Mrs. Mosley will be running these and the flier will be out very soon! Please watch for this as the public is invited to attend!! Examples: swing, country line….  
 
I am also getting some feedback to add a drama class and i am willing to do so if i have enough interested!! This would be a short course for the end of the year for 6 or 8 wks. Please let me know if your interested!!!  Mr. Blair is excited to teach this for us. You must be 8 or have approval from Miss Jen and Mr. Blair.
 
We will also be adding a homeschool ballroom class for any child who is homeschooled. If interested please contact the studio. More info will be following soon.
 
REMINDER!! Costume balances were due February 19. please remit with your child at their next class.  Costumes will start arriving in April and they must be paid in full to receive them. Costumes are non-refundable! 
ALSO i want to thank everyone for their timely payments this year. This keeps costs down when we dont have to send multiple reminders and keeps my secretary with little work. LOL   I have great families…thank you

New Cheerleading Class Starting in April!

STUDIO ON MAIN

CHEERLEADING TECHNIQUE CLASS

Saturdays 10am to 12pm*

Begins April 10th-june 19th

Cost: $55 per month

Ages- 5 to 18

A unique class designed to teach children of all ages the basic technique and conditioning required to effectively and safely excel in the sport of cheerleading. Motion technique, proper stretching, jumps, stunting technique, beginning gymnastics, and choreographed routines will allow participants to master the basics as they progress to more complex performances. This class is a great supplement for any child involved in an organized cheerleading program or those who want to begin. Sneakers are required. Taught by cheering coach with over 10+ yr. exp.

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!!!

*Class times may be added depending on enrollment to allow for age and ability leveled classes.

Cheerleading Class Goal:

Cheerleading Open House

To teach proper and safe techniques for all areas of cheerleading while helping to develop the basic fundamental skills necessary to participate in organized cheer programs by focusing on the many components required for success in competitive cheerleading.

2/8 February Newsletter

Hello Families!  Can you believe its February already?!  I can’t, this year just seems to be flying by! But anyway on with the News:
Our new ballroom session is starting March 5, and we have quite a group already asking about the new classes. This time we will be adding swing into the mix!! I have attached the flyer for you.  It is free to register and reserve a spot!!
DON’T FORGET i will be having a summer camp for the kiddies this year!! Free to register and reserve at spot. I have attached the flyer.
NEW CLASS COMING…We will be adding a cheerleading technique class and open house starting in April!! Also a cheerleading clinic/camp for the summer!! I have a great coach with over 10+ yrs of coaching experience and cant wait for this new program. Attached is the flyer.
I am taking t-shirt orders now. $16 for a bella brand t-shirt. it is a cotton form fitted shirt. Available in Pink for childrens and adults are available in pink,white,blue.  PUT YOUR ORDER IN WITH MISS JEN!
WE WILL BE OPEN FRIDAY FEB. 12 AND FEB. 15!!! WE ARE NOT CLOSED FOR THE HOLIDAY!!!
PLEASE remember if Upper Perk gets out early or is closed due to snow….the studios are also CLOSED.
COSTUME orders have been done and if you did not send in your deposit your costume may not have been ordered. You need to call the office immediately to settle this issue.  ALSO costume balances are due feb. 19 please remit or speak with Miss Jen to make arrangements.

1/28 Weekly Update & Studio News

Hello Families!  This is the last weekly update for January, can you believe it.
—I would just like to clarify something, there has been misunderstandings about the costume deposit. The showcase fee you paid in Dec does not include the costume. That is the fee to help cover the cost of the school for the showcase and includes your 2 free tickets. The deposit for the costume is a separate payment and was due Jan 15th. I understand the confusion and am sorry for this. Next year there will not be a showcase fee, but everyone will just have to pay for their tickets. The rentals for schools are quite expensive with adding the janitor and security fees on top of that. So just bare with me this year as i must go with what was set-up before i took over. Thank you
—Please make sure to subscribe to the web-site for your emails. Next month all emails will go through the web-site so that you may archive any and all emails and updates for the studio. It will be much easier and also more helpful for you, the parents, if you are not sure if you received all the updates.
—I am having t-shirts with our new logo shipped in the next 2 weeks. If you would like one please see me to add your name to the order list.  They will be approximately $16, i will know for sure by friday!!
—PLEASE DO NOT FORGET VISITATION is next week only (feb 1-5).  All siblings must be seated and quiet while class is be conducted. also they must be supervised in the lobby at all times. Thanks for your understanding in this matter!
—Tilleen Meitzler and Lily Derstine were picked as the winners of the coloring contest!! And all the children who colored a picture received a lollipop. Congrats to them and all who participated. Our New contest is guessing how many candy hearts in the bag to win the entire bag.  That will continue until valentines day!! See Miss Jens desk for this one. Good Luck
—If you want to see your childs costume or size being ordered see the book in the office or ask a teacher.
—Starting to get info and stuff together for our summer camp. If interested please remember register(free) earlier so i know how many to expect! I have alot of people who are interested in helping me this summer and i want this to be a great year and a great summer for the kids.  I know alot of you know that i truly care about the kids here and want the best for them.
—NEW NEW NEW–I am putting together a week long Summer Cheerleading clinicfor all ages in June, as well as a cheerleading technique and conditioning class April-June.  More info on this will be coming soon very soon.
—Adult jazz starts feb 4 and have quite a group to start with!! YEA!!
—Ballroom is up and running! The couples are doing great and we will be running a next course including swing starting March 5th!

1/21 Weekly Update and Studio News

Hello Families!!

Just an update for the week. Reminder: Costume deposits were due last Friday, January 15th. Deposits are $35 per class (except musical theatre) and the balance is due February 19th. Adv. students-past students need 2 deposits and new students need 3 deposits.

I WILL BE doing a summer camp this summer, and have attached the flier for you.  You must register, but registration IS FREE! I have a couple of my older students who are really interested in helping and playing with the children and making it a great summer!

Also if you are paying for after school care and dance classes….WHY not have after school care at the studio. We have a bus stop right near the studio for me to pick them up. Also Miss Breanna will be helping with the after school care next year.  I have attached the flier for this also. No money needed to save a spot for this :)

I have also instituted an incentive….if you refer someone for camp or after school care, and they register you will receive $20 coupon to toward ANYTHING like tuition, reg., dance supply, costumes!!

Lastly WE ARE starting adult class on Thursday, February 4! 8:30-9:15- wear comfortable clothes, socks or shoes, and ready to laugh!! fees: no student $8, w/student $5, w.student pass FREE.

Also please let me know if you are not receiving your emails with your sales receipts attached.
